Journal — Lisbon Travel Guides from the Driver's Seat | Lisbon Airport Transfer
The Journal · Written by people who drive it

Lisbon, from the
driver’s seat.

Practical guides to arriving, moving around and getting out of the city — written by the people who do the airport run every day, checked against what actually happens at the terminal, the toll gantry and the palace gate. No sponsored lists, no filler. When a rule changes, we update the article and say so at the top.

    All guides.

    Start with a question.

Most people arrive at the Journal with one of four things on their mind. Each collection is the shortlist of guides that answers it.

    How we write these

Every guide is checked against the road, not the search results.

Most travel content about Lisbon is written by people who have never stood in the arrivals hall at 06:40 on a cruise morning. Ours is written and re-read by the drivers who have. That is the entire editorial policy, and it is also why we publish fewer guides than the aggregators and update them more often.

    • i.Dated at the top, in plain viewThe last verification date sits under every headline. If a fact has a shelf life — a toll rule, a palace entry policy, a border-control rollout — we say when we last checked it.
    • ii.Honest about the competitionIf a bus, a tram or a walk is the better answer for your situation, the guide says so. We would rather be trusted than booked once.
    • iii.No affiliate links, no sponsored placementsRestaurants, palaces and viewpoints appear because a driver rates them, not because anyone paid.
    • iv.Corrections in the openSpot something wrong? Tell us and we fix it, credit you if you want, and note the change in the article.
    Read enough?

    The guide is free.
    The driver is booked.

Everything in the Journal is designed to make your trip easier whether you book with us or not. If you would rather someone met you at arrivals with a name board and already knew all of it, that is what we do.
